Community Engagement

Driving Meaningful Change through Community Engagement

At Lumax, we are dedicated to empowering women through holistic community initiatives under our CSR programs. Our focus spans across promoting girls' education by addressing societal and parental barriers, raising awareness about gender equality and equal access to learning, and improving health through nutrition and menstrual hygiene awareness. We work to combat anemia and malnutrition, ensuring better participation in academics and life skills, while also conducting menstrual hygiene sessions to promote better practices and access to sanitary products. Our financial literacy programs educate communities on savings, budgeting, and government schemes. By observing important days like Women’s Day, National Girl Child Day, and Environment Day, we reinforce our commitment to awareness and advocacy. Through these integrated efforts, we aim to foster lasting change, independence, and opportunity for women across our communities.

At Lumax, we believe in creating sustainable change within communities. While we have long worked with children, we recognised the vital role that mothers play in ensuring their daughters attend school. we’ve established a sustainable, community-led sanitary pad manufacturing unit in rural Haryana. Operated by local women, this initiative not only creates livelihood opportunities but also ensures the production of affordable, high-quality sanitary pads. These are distributed to school girls, improving menstrual hygiene management, reducing absenteeism, and fostering dignity and confidence among adolescent girls.

  • 17500+ Sanitary Pads Distributed Since 2019

Clean Water and Sanitation

We believe that a safe, hygienic, and supportive school environment is key to nurturing confident learners. As part of our commitment to community well-being and social responsibility, we work directly within school premises—installing water coolers, revamping drinking water stations, and ensuring access to clean, functional washrooms.

Through these integrated efforts, we’re building healthier schools and empowered communities—where education and hygiene go hand in hand.

Success Stories

From Adversity to Aspiration

Rajkumari, a student of Govt. Sr. Secondary School, Jamalpur (FY 22-23), faced financial hardships after losing her father during COVID-19, putting her education at risk. With our scholarship support, she was able to continue her studies and enroll in Janki Devi Memorial College, Delhi University, while also preparing for the civil services exam.

Balancing academics and family responsibilities, she took tuition classes to support her mother and brother while managing her own expenses. The scholarship helped her navigate this tough phase, boosting her confidence and resilience. Today, she remains focused on her goals with a problem-solving mindset, determined to build a better future.

A Story of Grit and Growth

Aashiv Kumar, a B.A. 2nd-year student from Government College, Sidhrawali, faced tough odds—his father a labourer, his mother battling paralysis. With no funds for coaching, he relied on public libraries and online prep to chase his dream of clearing SSC exams.

The Life Skills Education Program helped him build focus, resilience, and time management, while the “Usha Ki Kiran” Scholarship supported his education for two years. Aashiv’s journey shows how the right support can turn adversity into ambition.

Struggle to Strength

Kajal, school topper with 81.2% in Class 12, balanced studies, work, and family responsibilities as the eldest in a family of six. With her father unwell, she became the pillar of support at home.

The Life Skills Education Program equipped her with resilience and decision-making skills, helping her move from a sales job to a Data Analyst role. The “Usha Ki Kiran” Scholarship enabled her to pursue a B.A. from Jamia Millia Islamia (distance mode).

Now preparing for government exams, Kajal is a shining example of how determination and the right support can reshape destinies.
